1. Sign up as a volunteer (Even Returning Referees must do this step every Fall)
Login to this website (click the LOGIN button at the top right)
If you don't already have an account, click REGISTER NOW
Click "Volunteer" on the menu on the left
NOTE - you may have to click "FIND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES" at the top right 
"MY21 Referee and Board Volunteer Registration".
Complete information forms for the current season

2. Complete the Safe Haven, CDC Concussion Awareness and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses online
Login to  AYSOU (using your username/password for this website) - AYSOU is a menu on our website
Under "Online Courses - Safe Haven Courses":
Complete the Safe Haven Course
Complete the CDC Concussion Course
Complete the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Course
Save your certificates (if the system allows)

3. Attend appropriate training course:
    To referee 6U and 8U:
   AYSOU - Online  Courses / Refereeing Courses / 8U Official Course


    To referee 10U and above (and to earn referee points):
    a. Complete the Regional Referee Training Course 
        Login to  AYSOU (using your username/password for this website)
Under Online Courses / Refereeing Courses, select "Regional Referee Training" & Complete the course.

    b. Attend Regional Referee Online Companion Course - either in person or Zoom.
Register for the class in AYSOU under In Person Courses, Referee Instructor Led Courses, Regional Referee Online Companion Course
Region 65 Sessions are on the calendar, and on this website page.

        The Online Regional Referee Training course (Step a above) must be completed prior to attending the classroom portion.

Frequently Asked Questions 

Q: Is there an age restriction?
A: Yes, youth referees must be at least 12 years old, and may referee games 2 years below them (e.g. - U10 for a 12 year old)

Q: Do I need to pre-register for an in-person course? 

Q: What should I bring to the course? 
A: You’ll need paper and a pen/pencil for taking notes. We’ll provide you with course materials. 

Q: What if I am late arriving to a course? 
A: Punctual attendance is critical. Late arriving students may be asked to attend another course
