Playoff Eligibility - Referee Points Spring 2020
10U - 16/19U teams must earn points to advance to playoffs.
6U & 8U teams must earn credits to participate in
Jamboree (subject to change)
Based on 8 Games in Regular Season (except 16/19G)
6U/8U - 4 credits (Expected to be Home games, but can be earned on any games in your division)
10U & 12U – 12 Points in First 8 Games (May 2) (9 by week 7)
14U - 16 Points in First 8 Weeks (May 2) (13 by week 7)
Intermediate or Higher Referee Earns 2 Points/Game (14U or higher) – calculated based on doing 1/3 the games
16U/19U Boys - 18 Points in First 8 Weeks (May 2) (15 by week 7)
16U/19U Girls (based on 6 games) - 14 Points in First 7 Weeks (Apr 25) (11 by Apr 18)
NOTE – games played against Extra or Select teams do not apply – referees will be provided.
Intermediate or Higher Referee Earns 2 Points/Game (14U or higher) – calculated based on doing 1/2 the games
Max 3 Points May be Earned in Last Week
HOW TO EARN POINTS
Reffing (Center or AR)
1 Point for each reffing any 10U - 16/19U Match
Bonus Point for Intermediate or Above on 14U, 16U or 19U Match (when applied to 14U, 16U or 19U teams)
6U Credits earned on 6U games only
8U Credits earned on 8U games only
Upgrades (Must be in current grade at least 6 months)
2 Points for attending Upgrade Course and Passing the Test
2 Points for Completing an Upgrade
Mentoring (All Mentoring Sessions Must be Approved by Referee Administrator Joey Catuara)
1 Point for conducting a Mentoring Session (Mentor Only)
1 point for being Mentored at Center - Limit 2 points per season
Youth Referees May Earn Points, but May Only Referee Divisions 2 Years Below them (e.g. - 12 & 13 year old may referee 10U)
Referees must be currently registered as a volunteer, and have completed Safe Haven & Concussion Awareness Training
